There’s a new force rising in Singapore’s east. Representing the vibrant heartbeat of Bedok, Tampines, Pasir Ris, and Changi, the Eastern Hornbills have officially landed; unveiling a striking inaugural kit for the upcoming SGNRL Championship.

An identity rooted in resilience
The Eastern Hornbills’ identity is deeply rooted in local ecology. Central to the team’s visual branding is the Oriental Pied Hornbill, a resilient species featured prominently in the crest. Once thought to be locally extinct, this remarkable bird made a famous, thriving comeback in the green spaces surrounding Changi Airport and nearby Pulau Ubin.

The Hornbills have adopted this symbol of ecological resilience as their mascot, embodying the community’s spirit of endurance. The team’s distinct palette; a sharp combination of black, white, and gold; directly reflecting the striking plumage and presence of the bird they champion.

Design and corporate partnership
Manufactured by renowned apparel brand Dynasty Sport, the new jersey seamlessly blends modern sportswear technology with the club’s bold visual identity. The clean lines and contrast design give the team a formidable presence on the pitch.

Joining the Eastern Hornbills on this exciting launch are a suite of dedicated corporate partners. BQ Bar Singapore takes center stage as the main shirt sponsor, while Kendall Court is proudly featured across the sternum.

Singapore Animal Rescue and Outback Butchery round out the team’s partner roster as the official shorts sponsors.

Countdown to kick off
The Eastern Hornbills kick off their SGNRL Championship campaign on Saturday August 1, when they face the Central Vipers at Tanglin Rugby Club’s Kampong Java Fields.
