The bond of brotherhood is a powerful force in sport, but in international Rugby League, seeing three siblings take the field together remains a rare achievement. When the Singapore Memerang travel to Port Vila this June, the Postlethwaite name will be written into the record books as Liam, Connor and Fynn reunite to represent their nation.

The brothers are set to feature for Singapore when the Memerang face Vanuatu on Saturday, June 6, at Korman Stadium.

The trio have already proven their value together, playing a key role during the inaugural Asian Championship in Manila. All three were on the field for the final against the Philippines Tamaraws as Singapore sealed the Asia Cup.

For eldest brother Liam, who has represented Singapore in rugby union, the move to the 13-man code has created a rare opportunity to play alongside his siblings on the international stage. Connor brings a strong athletic pedigree, having represented Singapore in rugby sevens, while his youngest brother, Fynn, has progressed quickly from a development player to an important member of the Memerang squad. Liam and Connor are currently playing their club rugby league with the Alexandria Rovers in the South Sydney District Rugby League competition.

By taking the field together, the Postlethwaites join a select group of siblings to have shared the game’s biggest stage. Their achievement puts them alongside notable family combinations such as England’s Burgess brothers, Fiji’s Sims brothers, Japan’s Hooper brothers, and the Keinhorsts, who also represented their nations together.

The upcoming match at Korman Stadium will be a significant test for Singapore as they take on a physical Pacific opponent and chase their first international ranking points. For the Postlethwaites, it is another chance to add to their shared journey and help drive the growth of Rugby League in Singapore.
