The Singapore National Rugby League (SGNRL) is proud to announce that local favourite Outback Butchery has locked in its support as the official sponsor of the Player of the Match award for every game of the 2026 SGNRL Championship.
Jointly Australian and Singaporean owned, Outback Butchery brings more than three decades of butchery expertise and passion for local grass-roots sport to the tournament. Starting from kick-off on 1 August 2026, the standout player of every match including the Grand Final decider on 19 September; will be rewarded with a premium meat platter featuring top-tier Australian cuts and handcrafted sausages.
The partnership marks a shared commitment to developing rugby league in Singapore while celebrating performance, camaraderie, and community spirit. More than just an award, it is a celebration of excellence on the field while supporting a local business that is actively helping to grow rugby league in the country.
In addition to powering the weekly award, Outback Butchery joins as an Official Bronze Partner of the SGNRL Championship and a club sponsor for both inaugural foundation teams, the Central Vipers and Eastern Hornbills, with their logo appearing on the back of the official playing shorts.
“At Outback Butchery, we believe in the power of community, and there’s no better way to support that than through the spirit of local rugby. Whether it’s supporting the Central Vipers and Eastern Hornbills or celebrating the Player of the Match every week, we’re excited to be part of the game and feed the passion of the fans and players alike,” commented Adam and Ann Speering, founders of Outback Butchery.
All matches across the six-round competition will be hosted at TRC Kampong Java Field, establishing the foundations of local club rivalries before culminating in the Grand Final on 19 September.
